ABOUT ALLEGRA
Vermont-Born, Oklahoma-Based
Allegra Knight has performed as featured soloist in Mozart’s Oboe Quartet and concertos of Marcello, Saint-Saëns, and Le Brun, with the Enid Symphony, and in opera orchestras ranging from Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro to the world premiere of Thomas Pasatieri’s The Vaudevillian. A champion of new music, she is winner of the Oklahoma Youth Orchestras’ inaugural Dr. John E. Clinton Scholarship for Excellence in Music, and has performed under the batons of conductors including Maria Guinand and Gerard Schwarz. Winner of the Midwest Double Reed Society’s Young Artist Competition, she studied with Nancy Ambrose King at MPulse and was featured at James Austin Smith's masterclass at the International Double Reed Society Convention at New York University.
